Commencement activities for
the 34th graduating class of Trinity Christian Academy are
slated for Thursday, May 24, 2007.
Baccalaureate is at 10:00 a.m.
in the Auditorium of Trinity Baptist Church and will
feature Tommy Carr (class of 1985) as speaker.
Graduation service and
ceremony is Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. and is also in
the Auditorium. Trinity Christian Academy is honored to
have Dr. Ergun Caner as commencement speaker. Dr. Caner is
President of Liberty Theological Seminary at Liberty
University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is the first former
Muslim to become leader of an evangelical seminary, and
has authored fourteen books.
This year, Trinity Christian
Academy will award ninety-eight students with high school
completion diplomas. The Valedictorian is Rachel Jade
Dowdy and Salutatorian is Kelly Ann Elison. The Bright
Futures Scholarship, which pays 75% and higher of college
tuition in any accredited college in Florida was earned by
sixty-two seniors. Additionally, forty-eight seniors were
involved in the dual enrollment/early admissions program
receiving college credits while in high school, garnering
over 813 credit hours.
