Perhaps no event is so eagerly
anticipated as Homecoming week. This year is no exception.
Costumes and decorated halls are the order of the day and
everyone is looking forward to the big night on Friday.
This year’s theme for Homecoming, September 25-29, is “Who
Rules?” The theme for each day’s dress is: Monday—Who
Rules the Future? Senior Citizen dress; Tuesday—Who Rules
Together? Multiples dress; Wednesday—Who Rules This Town?
Western/Indian dress; Thursday—Who Rules This Show? Formal
dress; Friday—Who Rules This School? Trinity spirit dress.
In addition to costumes and decorations,
the students are participating in Penny Jar Sabotage. Each
class has a penny jar, which is the target of the other
classes who try to insert dimes, nickels, and quarters into
the other class jars. If a nickel, for instance, makes its
way into a jar, that class loses five pennies and so on.
On Thursday afternoon, both the faculty
and students will participate in afternoon games.
Friday is the big day with a Tailgate
breakfast from 8:00-9:15 a.m., the annual Homecoming parade
from 9:30-10:20 a.m. and a Talent show from 10:30-12:00.
The Friday evening half-time show will
feature Mr. and Miss TCA—Michael Messer and Janette Bolan,
and the Homecoming Court with representatives: Ashley
Guerra (9th grade); Rachel Evans (10th grade); Lindsay Davis
(11th grade); Alex Moore, Mallory Mulliniks, Jessica Parrish
and Amy Scott (12th grade). Students will cast their
ballots for Homecoming Queen on Wednesday and she will be
crowned on Friday evening.
