Welcome to TCA! Home > Welcome to TCA! I am pleased to introduce to you the Values, Distinctions, and Opportunity Trinity offers to each student. We value all of our students and their parents who seek to provide the very best for their children. The formative and adolescent years are incredibly significant as each student strives to become the person whom God will use. An education at Trinity is geared towards building that solid foundation for a successful, Christ-honoring future. For over 40 years, we have been educating students both scholastically and spiritually. Our dedication to graduating students with integrity, discipline, and an ability to think clearly and Biblically is proven through our commitment to teaching and requiring students to live honorably, exceeding the world's standards. Trinity Christian Academy offers an outstanding, dual accredited education through highly qualified teachers and innovative staff, while also providing opportunities beyond the classroom. From an early age, we encourage and allow students to develop talent and skill in many areas including student leadership, music, and athletics. Opportunities abound to help students mature academically, spiritually, physically, and socially. In the pages ahead, you will learn more about these opportunities. My prayer is for you to see our commitment to education and to feel our heart for student success. Serving, Dr. Clay Lindstam Administrator Value Worldview Trinity Christian Academy stresses the importance that each student develop their own biblical worldview to help guide them in making good decisions for their future. We are committed to graduating students who know and understand the Bible and see the importance of developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Integrity One of our greatest tasks is leading young people in becoming successful, respected, productive citizens. We place daily emphasis on instructing and training each student to live with Godly character and moral integrity by providing a clear framework of expectations. Responsibility Our students right now are learning traits that will follow them the rest of their life. Through a structured educational experience, we guide students in taking responsibility for their class work and personal actions. Distinction Academics Lower Division: The lower division consists of grades K3 through 6. Highly qualified and certified teachers provide a strong foundation for education, spiritually, and life skills development. Our academic program is enhanced by special opportunities through chapel, music, physical education, technology, Spanish class, athletics, and the elementary library. Upper Division: The upper division encompasses grades 7 through 12. Each teacher is well-equipped in instructing their students academically, spiritually, and socially. One of the primary academic purposes is to prepare students for college. Individualized Learning Center An Individualized Learning Center (Resource) is available to help a limited number of students in our upper division who have documented learning disabilities and need assistance beyond the traditional classroom. Athletics Trinity's athletic program is one of the finest in the State of Florida. Trinity is a member of the FHSAA, and we offer 12 sports, for both male and female athletes. Each year, a number of our participants are offered athletic scholarships to universities and colleges. Fine Arts Trinity's award winning music program is highly recognized and respected throughout the State of Florida. Students may begin band or chorus in the fifth or sixth grades, and instruction in piano and guitar is also available. Our bands and choirs compete in several state and local competitions during the year. Enrollment Trinity Christian Academy is located on a 160-acre collegiate style campus and is the largest Christian school in Northeast Florida. More families choose Trinity for Christian education than any other school in the area. Technology Trinity emphasizes the importance of incorporating technology in education. We have five different computer labs located on campus and technology enhanced teaching in nearly every classroom. Both of our libraries are electronically managed and interactive white boards are in each elementary classroom. Another helpful resource is the online educational tool, which allows students and parents to keep up with grades, manage work, and communicate easily with teachers. Accreditation Trinity Christian Academy has achieved accreditation status through MSA-CESS (Middle States Associations of Colleges and Schools - Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools) as well as through FACCS (Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, Inc.), and IACCS (International Association of Christian Colleges and Schools). History Trinity Christian Academy was founded in 1967 to provide a school where students could receive a solid, Christian education. We celebrate over forty years of graduating well-rounded students who are grounded in their faith, educated with excellence, and committed to living with integrity and character. Opportunity Student Leadership Providing students with areas where they can develop strong leadership is a high priority. Students who maintain exceptional grades and model character, leadership, and dedication to service can qualify for clubs in both lower and upper division. In grades 4 through 6, students may qualify for Beta Club and sixth grade provides the opportunity for school patrol. Upper division students may qualify for National Junior Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Student Council. Dual Enrollment Trinity has developed one of the strongest dual enrollment programs in Northeast Florida. This program was created for students to earn credits and begin their college education while still in high school. Through this course of study, students can make great strides toward earning an AA or AS degree while still in high school. Scholarships Each year, our students are offered incredible amounts of scholarships to various universities and colleges throughout America. *Last year our graduating seniors earned $5,369,162 in potential scholarships. Trinity provides a thorough guidance counseling program to help students stay on track and aware of potential scholarship opportunities. *Based on 2015 data Graduates Trinity boasts a long list of successful graduates who are impacting their community, including politicians, community leaders, military officers, musicians, professional athletes, physicians, lawyers, educators, and doctoral researchers.
